After years of using chemical-filled mouthwashes that burned & dried the mouth, did not freshen the breath, and were packaged to pollute the earth—we had enough.
Our mission is to make the best mouthwash — one that is natural, effective, pleasant tasting, and eco-friendly.
We spent over 3 years meticulously developing the Nix formula, mixing thousands of different formulations, trying countless natural ingredients for their oral health benefits, working with supertasters to perfect the taste, and performing extensive tests with consumers & dentists to ensure efficacy. We spent 2 more years developing the eco-friendly mouthwash crystals and sustainable packaging.

Gentle for Our Planet
Our eco-friendly mouthwash crystals are designed to Nix plastic waste and reduce carbon emissions. One small jar of our mouthwash crystals weighs 0.3 pounds and lasts 4-6 months. By comparison, the equivalent in liquid mouthwash weighs over 5 pounds – 16x heavier – and is tons of plastic!
Each year, over 500 million plastic mouthwash bottles end up in landfills and oceans. That’s enough to wrap around our earth three times!
Our Commitment to Giving
Giving back is something we’re committed to. This is why we donate 10% of our profits to non-profits that tackle environmental issues and help underprivileged children receive adequate dental care in the U.S. and abroad.
We partner with organizations like Global Dental Relief, which sends volunteer dentists to rural communities each year. Something as simple as access to a toothbrush and toothpaste can prevent significant health consequences like infection, heart problems, and even death. In some countries, many children have never even seen a toothbrush.
